Martin Slater, President and CEO of the company and one of its founders, has led the agency since 1991. Educated at Essex University, UK (BA) he completed a PhD in 1977 at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Having specialised in public opinion, Martin taught and researched for several years at the universities of Harvard (US), Clark (US), Essex (UK) and Turin (Italy) before joining the UK Treasury from 1988 to 1990, advising ministers on agricultural and trade policy. An expert in communications strategy and issues management, he has advised numerous corporations and institutions across a broad range of industries and themes.
